Sunlight helps regulate the body’s internal clock, known as the circadian rhythm.
Morning light signals the brain to stay awake by reducing melatonin, the
hormone that promotes sleep. This supports a consistent sleep-wake cycle and
makes it easier to feel alert during the day and rest at night.
Sunlight also improves sleep quality. Adequate daylight exposure helps the body
produce melatonin more effectively in the evening, leading to deeper and more
restorative sleep.
